This Vermentino is pale lime in colour with silver hues with a fresh aroma of green apple and lemon sherbet. This leads to a crisp and fruity palate. Flavours of lime, pineapple and honeydew melon and a crisp acidity provide a mineral taste to the long finish.
Serve at 7° – 9° with halibut, crab cakes, roasted trout or goats cheese.
The Berton Vineyards were started in 1996 when Bob and Cherie Berton purchased a block of land in High Eden, a part of the Barossa Valley.
In 2014 they were rated as one of the top 20 producers in terms of quality in Australia.
