This Black Shiraz has strong blackberry and plum aromas over toast, vanilla and spice. The palate is full flavoured and intense with rich blackberry, plum, blueberry and spicy characters. The tannins are ripe and dense giving great structure and length to the palate.
Serve at 16° – 18° with grilled, smoked and BBQ meats, hearty stews and good blue cheeses.
The Berton Vineyards were started in 1996 when Bob and Cherie Berton purchased a block of land in High Eden, a part of the Barossa Valley.
In 2014 they were rated as one of the top 20 producers in terms of quality in Australia.
